Knoxville Botanical Gardens Engagement
I am so excited to share this beautiful engagement session. Ayah and Ahmed presented me with a bit of a challenge. Ayah and Ahmed informed me that they are both Muslim and their religious beliefs prohibit them from touching and kissing one another prior to their wedding day. I have photographed a diverse range of weddings, from Indian, Catholic, Jewish, Greek Orthodox and Laotian, but I have never been presented with photographing a couple that is not allowed to have any physical contact. Being that my work is predicated on physical, emotional and spiritual connection between two loving individuals, this brought me outside of my norm and presented me with a challenge, one in which I fully accepted and was honored to take on.
Knoxville Botanical Gardens and Arboretum
We decided to have their engagement photos taken at the beautiful Knoxville Botanical Gardens and Arboretum located in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Gardens are located on 47 acres of former Howell Nurseries, featuring walking trails, display gardens, unique & historic horticulture and over two miles of distinctive stone walls and timeless buildings, just five minutes from downtown. We were fortunate to have amazing light during the golden hour before sunset. Their photos turned out amazing and I am excited to share this session with everyone. Here is a look at their engagement session, thanks for stopping by.
